Lily Desmond is an avant-garde violinist, vocalist and composer. They use genres like folk, techno, singer songwriter and hard rock, all with a cinematic chamber pop approach. Classically trained, she studied music composition and performance, anthropology and writing at Sarah Lawrence College (2016).

Desmond has always been drawn to folk traditions and collaborating with non-musicians, be it dancers or performers or visual artists. She loves creating music to conjure or fit a scene, leading her to explore the worlds of animation, theater, dance, the DIY underground, and more. They are also a teacher, nerding out with students about violin, voice and songwriting. She can be found playing solo or with several bands in various venues, or busking in the streets and subways of NYC and LA.
